Born and raised in Jakarta, Andrea Turk (a descendant from Indonesia's national anthem composer, W.R. Soepratman) sparked controversy with the release of the single & video. The primary statement functioned as a coming out story for Andrea Turk as a queer non binary performer. Ignoring the backlash, Turks newfound love and support within the Los Angeles music community guided them into a new era of music and expression.
